Hey, I'm Kitty, the owner of this idyllic Art Studio and a passionate teacher of Art, DT (Design Technology) and Textiles.

I truly believe that creativity is for everyone.

My goal is to create a welcoming environment where students feel inspired and confident to express themselves. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, I tailor my teaching approach to meet individual needs.

My Teaching Journey

I started my teaching career in Secondary schools, focusing on Textiles within the Design Technology department. A few years later, I moved to a Prep school, where I expanded my teaching repertoire to include both Art and DT. Every 3 to 4 years, I chose to work in new schools across Surrey and Hampshire, broadening my expertise and adapting to diverse educational environments.

With a BA (Hons), PGCE and QTS, I’ve been fortunate to teach across a range of inspiring settings, which ultimately led to my final school role as Head of Visual Art and Creative Technology. In that position, I transformed the department by introducing modern lesson plans and projects that embraced cultural elements with bespoke outcomes. I also had the privilege of guiding students through Art Scholarship applications, helping them create skilful portfolios, which was such a rewarding experience.

In 2025, I decided to bring my teaching beyond the classroom and into my own bespoke studio. This shift has allowed me greater flexibility for myself and my family, as well as the opportunity to work more personally with students.

I thoroughly enjoy teaching and take great pride in giving students the opportunity to explore their creativity and develop their unique artistic style—especially when the process becomes one of both exploration and self-discovery!

Nurturing and empowering individuals to reach their full potential through creative, project-focused courses. Lessons are delivered in a picturesque barn, nestled within an inspirational setting in Haslemere, Surrey.

I have taught in both state and private schools, working with students from Year 3 to Year 11. These experiences have given me invaluable insight into how to adapt my teaching methods to suit a wide range of ages and abilities.
