These courses are design to fit in with the school term, running in 5 or 6 week blocks. Each half term block will consist of a topic-based project where you (the student) will learn key skills. At the end of the half term project, you will take home a project sketchbook and your own creative, bespoke final piece.

All resources needed during the projects are supplied by the studio. Maximum 8 students per session.

This structured six-week course for adults explores the art of fabric block printing, with a focus on mixing custom dyes, creating foam printing blocks, and designing festive patterns inspired by the botanical motifs in Henri Matisse’s Paper Cut series. Students will design and print a set of handmade Christmas-themed napkins, along with additional decorative items, and develop a project sketchbook to document their creative journey—from initial sketches to final textile designs. With a maximum of eight students per class, the course offers a supportive, focused environment that encourages individual guidance and artistic growth.

This single-session workshop for adults offers a festive introduction to fabric block printing, using pre-made foam blocks and pre-mixed fabric colours. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with printing techniques and take home a set of handmade Christmas-themed napkins.
